Throughout senior study your knowledge, skills and understanding will be assessed to highlight the areas you may need to work on and improve and to provide feedback on your level of achievement.
Part of the assessment process for senior secondary study in NSW is being allocated grades in Years 10 and 11. In Year 12, you will complete HSC assessment tasks and receive an HSC assessment mark as part of your HSC.
Your teachers will apply their professional judgement to award the grade that best matches your knowledge, skills and understanding in each course you study in Years 10 and 11.
HSC assessment tasks allow you to show what you know, understand and can do in ways that may not be possible in a written examination. Together the results of your tasks contribute 50% of your final HSC mark for a course.
All work presented in an assessment task must be your own. Malpractice, including plagiarism, could lead to you receiving zero marks. Honesty in assessment is a guide to completing assessment tasks honestly and with confidence.
